Lead Software Engineer, Event Architecture
The Platform Services team at Salesforce is looking for a lead, full stack engineer to help architect and implement a new Event-driven architecture to comprehensively and completely capture data changes in the Salesforce ecosystem. As a team, we offer our customers a reliable, scalable and secure stream of real-time events used for use cases such as data extraction, data replication and data synchronization. We continually innovate in order to improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and breadth of this service to anticipate and meet customer needs.
You’ll be directly responsible for delivering a robust and efficient framework that’s able to capture, store and consume change data from Billions of daily transactions in Salesforce. You’ll also be defining and evangelizing the events framework for all development teams at Salesforce as we expand the functionality of the framework. You’ll be responsible for all of the above and more. This includes technical and architectural reviews for many teams, cross functional product reviews with product managers and customers, releasing generic event model frameworks, and usage guidelines for new and existing products.
To accomplish this, we need smart people to solve hard problems. We are looking for experienced hands-on software developers to define and implement our applications, platform, and core infrastructure. Everything we develop runs in real-time, at cloud scale, supporting hundreds of millions of requests through our API and our UI. This creates technical challenges that require innovation at scale. A large part of our architecture is driven by metadata in our multi-tenant environment.
