As a member of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud team located in Indianapolis, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and manage a very talented engineering team who are experts in the latest software development technologies.
Manage the software development function. Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testing new and existing software. Evaluate results within business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met. Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software's full life cycle.
Resolve issues and contribute to the business unit/area development. Manage the work efforts of supervisors/individual contributors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in the software development process, as well as some specific experience developing in an Agile environment. We are seeking an individual with strong team leadership skills.
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, software engineering or computer science.
•At least 6+ years of technical experience in software development environment.
•2+ years’ experience as a team lead or supervisor in a fast growing organization.
•Strong middle-tier and backend skills, especially distributed systems and building and consuming APIs.
oExperience with RESTful systems a plus
•Thorough technical knowledge of the following is required:
oHBASE and/or other ‘Big Data’ technologies
oExperience is high-scalability, high-throughput systems.
oObject Oriented Development & Design Patterns
oMS Visual Studio- C# and SQL Server experience
oSaaS / Multi-tenancy
•Specific Experience in Agile software development, particularly in Scrum
