Lead Solution Consultant, Analytics Cloud - Einstein Data Discovery

We are looking for an exceptional Solution Consultant with a stellar track record of previous success to join the EMEA Analytics Cloud team. You will be selling industry-leading analytics solutions that are changing the way enterprises do business. Business applications are becoming increasingly data driven, embedded intelligence is empowering business users with exploration and actionable insights directly within the context of each and every business process.

This is an important new role as the EMEA Subject Matter Expert for Einstein Data Discovery (http://www.salesforce.com/assets/pdf/analytics/einstein-data-discovery.pdf).

Einstein Data Discovery:
  • Provides AI-driven sales, service, and marketing insights
  • Automatically analyses millions of data combinations in minutes to uncover answers without writing algorithms
  • Provides relevant explanations and recommendations in a natural language format that is easily understood by business users
  • Allows one button auto-generated slide presentations containing visualisations and talking points for easily communication of findings and dissemination.
The role is an EMEA level role and candidates should anticipate significant travel. As the regional subject matter expert, the role requires:
  • A blend of internal and external product evangelism and enablement
  • Working with the regional Analytics Cloud Sales team to define and build the go to market strategy
  • Close liaison with Product Management to shape the future direction of the product
  • Typical pre-sales support of sales opportunities
  • The development and support of 'lighthouse' customers

Responsibilities:
  • The ability to confidently present and articulate the business value of the Salesforce's cloud-based application suite and Salesforce Wave Analytics platform to managers and executives of all levels
  • Understand and uncover business challenges and issues faced by the customer and be able to run a targeted discovery session or workshop
  • Engage with business users to define, create and implement solution prototypes and pilots, and then manage those pilots from inception to completion
  • Build and present customised demos
  • Deliver product, technical, and security related responses on RFPs/RFIs
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
  • Work as a team player by contributing, learning and sharing new knowledge
  • Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed

Required Skills/Experience:
  • MS Stats, Applied Math, Data Science, Predictive Analytics or MBA with +5 years experience
  • Through understanding of predictive analytics, familiarity with tools such as SAS/SPSS
  • Through understanding of fundamentals of BI, familiarity with BI tools (Tableau , Qlik, OBIEE, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Birst etc)
  • Hands-on experience with front end development (JQuery, JavaScript, CoffeeScript)
  • Hands-on experience with JSON, shell scripting, Python or Java
  • Hands on experience in analysing data, identifying trends and building visualisations
  • Experience with data modelling, logical star schema design and data warehouse concepts
  • Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Data Integrator, Data Transformation Services, etc.) a plus
  • Experience with latest trends in Hadoop, Apache Pig a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce's technical architecture - APIs, Custom Objects, APEX a plus
  • Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience in technical pre-sales or consulting
