Senior Software Engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC

We are looking for an experienced hands-on senior/lead software engineer to join a world class team of highly advanced systems and software engineers and infrastructure experts to deliver high quality automation frameworks to solve Salesforce’s top capacity and automation projects and initiatives. As Salesforce is pushing the limits in the IT world, whether in persistence or compute, we are above the current leading edge technology available in the market.

As a Senior/Lead Software Engineer, you have a deep, working knowledge on infrastructure systems and will be responsible for leading key projects in design, development, and support of applications, and frameworks, that are used by a variety of internal teams at  You will work on complex scaling challenges as we move our customers to new infrastructures seamlessly.  The ideal candidate, an astute developer, will be able to learn quickly, work in a fast paced, team driven environment, is able to use his computer science knowledge and experience to solve problems by architecting and implementing solutions, while capable of communicating effectively with internal and external teams.


Provide technical and architectural leadership for the Infrastructure Delivery Engineering teams and Operations roles

  • Design, implement and maintain the infrastructure used to power our service

  • Automate the deployment and instance migration process

  • Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovations that improve system availability, resilience and performance

  • Provide mentorship to other team members

  • Create, maintain and share technical documentation used by other team members

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in CS or any equivalent engineering discipline

  • 5-8+ years of infrastructure automation development experience

  • 5+ years of design and implementation experience of large infrastructure projects with multiple teams

  • 5+ years of in depth and hands on programming experience in Java, C++, C#

  • 5+ years experience on scripting languages in at least one of the Perl, Python, Ruby, Go, JavaScript, Shell environments

  • 5+ years of experience with Databases and SQL

  • 5+ years of leading technical operation or system engineering teams

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills in a project lifecycle

  • Strong understanding of Linux internals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to details

  • Experience in delivering engineering applications using agile/scrum methodology
