Senior Systems Specialist

The Platform Enablement team within the IT Enterprise Services and Support Organization focuses on the internal success of Salesforce on Salesforce. The team collaborates with R&D leadership to evaluate new product features and champion the adoption within our internal Salesforce instances. As the Sr. System Specialist, Salesforce on Salesforce, the person will be the expert of Force.com and Lightning Development technology for our internal implementation. The Sr. Systems Specialist will play a key role in the strategic Salesforce on Salesforce program which will enable Salesforce to showcase our internal usage of Salesforce platform on the latest technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive adoption of new product features and new technologies in the internal platform
  • Research and develop solutions to retrofit the platform to be 100% Lightning compatible
  • Collaborate with R&D to perform analysis on new development technology and develop prototypes in the internal platform with the new capability
  • Collaborate with IT development to roll out the best in class Salesforce.com implementation
  • Troubleshoot issues with the new development technologies
  • Understands all aspects of internal Salesforce.com platform configuration and technical capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases
  • Lead the user adoption of new product features from R&D, produce trending report of usage, and recommend methods to increase adoptions
  • Proactively monitor the usage of internal platform
  • Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures
  • Actively transfers knowledge throughout organization, participates in knowledge sharing projects to develop best practices, leads knowledge sharing sessions, and mentors junior staff and new hires
  • Manages tasks and projects in a fast-paced support environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution
  • Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls


Required Skills:

  • Salesforce ADM 211 certification
  • Salesforce Developer 501 certification or platform developer certification
  • 7+ years of experiences as Visualforce, APEX, and Javascript developer and system administrator in large, complex environment
  • Experience in developing solutions with Salesforce REST API, SOAP API, Metadata API, and Tooling API.
  • Experience in defining process and security model for CRM solution in large enterprise with minimum of 1000 users
  • Good time management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks across various user groups
  • Must be a self-starter who thrives on working in fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication to users and stakeholders
  • Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus
  • Familiarity with change management and release management principles and processes
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field


Desired Skills:

  • Salesforce Developer (501) Certification or platform developer certification
  • Salesforce programming Lightning Components (Dev 601) certification
  • Experiences with developing Lightning components
  • Master degree in relevant business or technical discipline
  • Experience with working with software product development team on feature

  • Understanding of best practices of Salesforce implementations, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing best practices
