Senior UX Designer
Customer Success – Support Services and Renewals

The Customer Success and Growth (CSG) organization at Salesforce is responsible for onboarding, customer support, professional services, training, partner certification, and developing long-term relationships with Salesforce customers. The Customer Intelligence (CI) group in CSG creates data-driven intelligence on customers’ usage and engagement, which in turn is used to help customers leverage the world’s best CRM platform, through cutting edge data products and deep data science & modeling. The Data Products team within the Customer Intelligence group is the directly responsible for planning the product roadmap and in building and delivering data products and predictive apps for our internal stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data visualization and how it can drive customer insights. Your work will directly contribute towards improving the efficiency and ease of consuming deep analytical insights by our internal stakeholders. We are looking for outstanding hands-on visualization designer who will lead in visual storytelling. As a key member of this team, you will have the opportunity to lead the UI/UX around the product design. You will be working alongside a diverse team of UI Engineer, data engineers, data analysts and data scientists in building new products/solutions for our internal users. We share a passion for problem-solving, new technologies, and learning.

You Will

  • Visualize (dashboards, charts and infographics), analyze, and provide analytics on sensitive data to build insights to advance the business
  • Be an expert in taking unanalyzed data into rich visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrate expertise in UI/UX, storytelling, branding, or other specialized skills that bring complex solutions to life creatively, efficiently and powerfully.
  • Work independently and is empowered to provide the team with visualization best practices.
  • Drive the design of our products from initial concept through to final implementation 
  • Have knowledge of various user research methodologies such as field research, survey creation, and of benchmarking studies is highly desirable.
  • Work together with product manager and product team on product design and development
  • Interact with internal and potentially external clients to understand their requirements for customer intelligence data/insights
  • Capture detailed business requirements and technical specifications
  • Articulate the value of design and the logic of design choices to support the vision in a way that is convincing to internal and external customers.
  • Contribute to compelling narratives that capture insight and inspire executive-level audiences.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in design degree or relevant field.
  • 6+ years of  experience leading human-centered interaction design activities, e.g. research, information architecture, task flows, wireframes and understanding of latest UX patterns.
  • A professional portfolio demonstrating both visual and interaction design experience. Strong visual design background, e.g. color, composition, typography and shape.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision, Flinto, Marvel, etc.
  • Experience designing for mobile apps, web, accessibility, and analytics.
  • Self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance quality deliverables with tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and helping other team members through it, and enthusiastic about working in a culture of critique and iteration with all team members.
  • Passionate curiosity regarding emerging trends in innovation and enthusiasm for using the design process to make businesses more effective, relevant and successful.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JS libraries/frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SaaS/PaaS (Cloud Computing), relational databases and web technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Experience in using or building BI, database, or analytics products preferred
  • Experience working and developing on the Salesforce platform is desirable but not required
