Director, IT Security Portfolio & Governance

We are looking for a security director who can join our security team. The primary goals of this role is to provide partnership to IT stakeholders and IT’s business partners, to provide program, portfolio, and operational governance.

The ideal candidate will share our passion for solving complicated business and security problems, while minimizing friction, maximizing productivity, and delivering impact. While this is a management position, the ideal candidate will possess both deep and broad technical knowledge across a range of security disciplines.



  • Manage and mentor a team of individual contributors, drive role definition and hire the best in the industry.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive the security agenda in IT

  • Partner with leaders across the company to ensure information security efforts receive appropriate prioritization.

  • Hold a leadership role across the company with security projects and provide guidance on a constant stream of new projects.

  • Identify growth areas for the team, set clear expectations, and provide frequent feedback.

  • Have passion for security and positively spread this enthusiasm to partner teams.


Qualifications / Experiences:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, including technical advisory and proven ability to contribute at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and manage technical teams, including performance management.

  • A proven ability to communicate security risks and plans to address them to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrated technicality across a range of security disciplines.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into language for audiences.

  • A proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders.

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering with an emphasis in Information Security or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Desired Skills / Experiences:

  • CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) or equivalent

  • Knowledgeable in security trends, products and tooling.
