Associate Software Engineer (f/m) – UI - JavaScript

As an Associate Software Engineer - User Interface, Java Script - you will be responsible for building the next generation of user interfaces for our industry leading e-commerce platform by developing robust enterprise web applications with cutting edge JavaScript frameworks.
  • Deliver on full life cycle software components for our mission-critical, enterprise SaaS web applications
  • Support our commitment to continuous integration, unit tests, and functional automation
  • Lead the team in definition of sub-component requirements and accurately forecast project effort
  • Provide attention to detail and a commitment to delivery of high-quality, stable deliverables
  • Work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multi-cultural, development and testing team
  • Be self-motivated; driven to achieve and exceed committed milestones
  • Display strong collaboration skills, including the ability to mentor and be mentored
  • Desire to work in a growing, fast-paced environment of innovation
Required Skills:
  • Advanced in web application development using JavaScript (or TypeScript)
  • Advanced in at least one JavaScript framework like Angular (preferred), Ember, React, VueJS, or equivalent
  • Advanced in Single Page Application architecture and subsequent requirements for modularisation
  • Advanced in HTML and web component composition
  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks usage and responsive design concepts in large scale applications
  • Experience with test frameworks like Jasmine as well as test runners like Karma, Protractor, or equivalent
  • Ability to share and collaborate with peers both verbally and in writing
  • Capable of learning new programming languages as they emerge
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to mentor and be mentored.
Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience with UI build environment and automation
  • Prior experience with Typescript
  • Prior experience developing APIs or REST services
  • Experience with Scrum in an agile development environment
  • Experience developing SaaS applications
Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent
  • At least 1 years professional JavaScript/Java development experience
  • At least 1 years professional user interface development experience
