The Role:

This is an opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to make an impact in a high profile role within Revenue Operations, that partners directly with the Alliances sales organizations. As a part of the global Partner Operations team, the individual would work closely with the Alliances sales teams to formulate and vet the business, pricing, and contractual terms in complex partnership proposals and to ensure effective and appropriate monetization of all partner relationships. The individual will formulate and manage deal execution processes that require constant interface with multiple internal functions including sales, sales strategy, finance, revenue accounting, legal, and sales operations to ensure that internal controls and processes are in place and that all functions are prepared to support rapid deal execution. This job requires equal parts critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical insight. It also provides a chance to achieve significant responsibility and autonomy, access to senior executives, and prospects for rapid career development within one of the most innovative and fast-growing groups within Salesforce


  • Review and approve reseller partnership proposals for an assigned territory, to include evaluating the business case for partnerships and ensuring that all requests align with internal requirements.
  • ​Communicate requests for approval for proposals and drive alignment with other groups and exec leaders across Salesforce.
  • Identify concepts that pose business, legal, or other risk, determine possible courses of action, and make recommendations to the Partner Account Manager (PAM) and other Alliances sales leaders. Ensure PAM completes necessary steps to maintain compliance with all SFDC partner requirements.
  • Ensure that all necessary approvals and supporting documents are recorded per Salesforce policy prior to advancing requests through process.
  • Work cross-functionally with members of sales, technical architects, legal, finance, sales operations, and other SFDC teams to ensure that approvals are met.
  • Provide routine reporting and analysis on team operational metrics.
  • Undertake project-based work as needed in areas such as enablement, standardization, and approval optimization

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • BA/BS required, in preferably in finance or an analytical related field from a top undergraduate institution.
  • 1-4 years experience, mainly in pricing, strategy, consulting, or other highly analytical business function.
  • Highly analytical with strong quantitative skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; ability to build financial and business models is a must.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills; able to create concise, attractive, executive-level slides
  • Incisive sense of commercial acumen with a “big picture” outlook
  • Excellent communications skills; summarizes complex concepts in an accessible manner
  • Inquisitive, questioning mindset with close attention to detail; leaves no stone unturned and double-checks everything
  • Team player with high level of emotional maturity; able to be diplomatic and work effectively with wide variety of personality types
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement in all functions
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a high-paced and fluid environment
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and minimal supervision
  • Ability to proactively identify problems and generate plan to solve them

“Plus” Skills and Attributes:

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Familiarity with common technical and business principles for SaaS and PaaS companies
  • Experience working in a channel/partner function.
  • Experience reviewing, editing, or negotiating complex business contracts
