Description:

The Salesforce Platform System Specialist is responsible for supporting the mission critical internal Salesforce.com environment to ensure reliability, security, and continuous improvement.  This position will be the domain expert in Force.com and participate in the “Campaign to Lead” and “Real Estate Management” business processes which involves supporting Marketing campaigns, lead generation and facilities management functionality using Salesforce, third party and custom applications.  The successful candidate will be a technically savvy and enjoy collaborating with peer groups including IT, Tech & Products, and Marketing business teams.  Daily activities will include, but are not limited to, resolving technical and functional support issues, performing trend analysis and identifying enhancements to reduce support requests, and collaborating with development teams to improve the design of new functionality.  The successful candidate must be agile and able to support multiple priorities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understands all aspects of Force.com configuration, technical/functional capabilities, and integrations;  including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases

  • Partner, support and collaborate with the IT Marketing & Real Estate development teams to deploy new functionality and migrate content between environments

  • Perform analysis on upcoming releases and resolving issues in internal platforms

  • Drive adoption of new product features and new technologies in the internal platform

  • Proactively monitor the usage and alerts of internal platform and recommend solutions to improve system performance

  • Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures

  • Actively transfers knowledge throughout organization, participates in knowledge sharing projects to develop best practices, leads knowledge sharing sessions, and mentors junior staff and new hires

  • Perform tasks related to the ongoing operations of internal Salesforce.com platform including managing user access, sharing model, creation and maintenance of custom objects and fields, data cleanup, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, and troubleshooting of Apex and integrations

  • Manages tasks and projects in a fast-paced support environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution

  • Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls

 

Required Skills:

  • 4-6 years previous development and system administration experiences in large, complex environment

  • Strong experience with cloud computing

  • Experience with supporting CRM applications in a business analyst or programmer role

  • Experience with Web Development using HTML, CSS and Javascript

  • Knowledge of Integration software including Mule ESB and Jitterbit

  • Good time management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks across various user groups

  • Must be a self-starter and Salesforce enthusiast who thrives on working in fast-paced environment

  • Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus

  • Familiarity with Change Management and Release Management principles and processes

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field

 

Desired Skills:

  • Salesforce Administrator (201) and Advanced Administrator (211) Certification

  • 2+ years of experience programming in Apex Code and Visualforce Pages

  • Excellent understanding of Salesforce's Web Services

  • Master degree in relevant business or technical discipline

  • Experience with working with software product development team on feature enhancements

  • Understanding of best practices of Salesforce implementations, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing best practices
